Our Business and Supply Chains

Our operations rely on a network of suppliers and subcontractors that may provide vehicles, packing materials, equipment, storage facilities, and labour-related services. We are aware that modern slavery risks can exist at various tiers of these supply chains, including in the sourcing of raw materials and the provision of temporary or agency labour.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour, and all forms of exploitation. This applies to our own activities and to everyone directly linked to our business. We expect the same high standards from all suppliers, contractors, and business partners. Our policy is to refuse to knowingly engage with any organisation or individual involved in modern slavery practices and to take appropriate action if any concerns arise.

All managers, supervisors, and employees are required to uphold this policy and to act immediately if they become aware of any actual or suspected breach. Any failure to comply with this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. For suppliers and contractors, non-compliance may result in contract termination and removal from our approved supplier list.

Supplier Due Diligence and Audits

We are committed to assessing and managing the risk of modern slavery within our supply chains. Before engaging new suppliers or contractors, we carry out proportionate due diligence. This may include gathering information about their employment practices, workforce conditions, and any existing policies on modern slavery and human rights.

Where risks are identified as higher, we may conduct audits or request evidence of independent audits carried out by the supplier. These audits focus on working conditions, recruitment practices, wage payments, and the use of subcontractors or labour agencies. We reserve the right to carry out further inspections, announced or unannounced, where we have reasonable concerns. If a supplier does not meet our expectations, we will work with them to improve standards where appropriate, or we will seek alternative arrangements.

Training and Awareness

We aim to ensure that relevant employees, especially those involved in procurement, recruitment, and site management, understand what modern slavery is, how to recognise warning signs, and how to respond to concerns. Training and internal briefings are used to raise awareness of our zero-tolerance policy and to reinforce individual responsibilities. Reports may be made in confidence, and we will take all reasonable steps to protect the identity of individuals who raise concerns in good faith. All reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and, where appropriate, may lead to corrective action, engagement with relevant authorities, or termination of business relationships.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

We recognise that the fight against modern slavery is an ongoing process and that risks can evolve over time. We will continue to review our supplier onboarding processes, auditing methods, and staff training to strengthen our approach.

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually by senior management to ensure it remains effective, relevant, and aligned with legal requirements and industry best practice. Any significant changes to our approach will be incorporated into an updated version of this statement and communicated internally and to key stakeholders.
